Offering both a helicopter and fixed-wing airplane, CareFlight is available for responding to injured or ill patients who require immediate transport from the scene of an accident or another healthcare facility. TriState Care Flights is a private air ambulance service based out of Bullhead City, Arizona. Founded in 2002, TriState CareFlight provides rotor-wing and fixed-wing air ambulance services from eleven bases spread throughout Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico.

The helicopter based out of the Quartzsite Fire District is medically equipped to carry four patients and the necessary medical personnel to respond to motor vehicle accidents and other trauma scenes. CareFlight also provides neonatal and perinatal transport to mothers and babies who are in need of emergency medical care. CareFlight has one of the most powerful helicopters available for flying over mountainous terrain. With its twin engines, CareFlight has a flight range of 250-300 miles and can fly at an altitude of up to 20,000 feet. Unlike ground transportation, medical helicopter transport can offer patients who are suffering from back or neck injuries a more stable ride, lessening further injury.

The Quartzsite Fire District is committed to serving the community with the primary purpose of saving life and property. We will accomplish this through constant training and always looking for new methods to better perform the tasks at hand. We will respond 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year without exception, in an effort to accomplish our goals.

It is part of our mission to give the fire district, and those who pass through it, the best service that is available whether it is paid or volunteer. We provide these services for the safety of those in need, and the safety of the Emergency Responder through training, equipment, facilities, leadership, and support to our members. We achieve our mission and purpose through the cooperation of the Public and with the dedication of our selfless volunteers.
